Provisioning should probably not be an important consideration in selecting a bareboat company. Nearly all bareboat companies offer this service and the price is about the same from one to the next. In many cases the provisioning will even come from the same source!
Many bareboat companies offer provisioning packages, and these will vary from area to area. In the Caribbean, split provisioning (all breakfasts and lunches and 4 dinners per week with some companies and less with others) is the most popular choice, costing around $22. The total cost of provisioning including drinks and snacks is probably more like $27 to $35 per person per day depending on your preferences.
If you don't like the provisioning offered by a particular company you can do your own shopping upon arrival or you can use the services of a third-party provisioning service. Look at what your bareboat company has to offer and compare it with your other options. Click on the map below to see what provisioning options besides your bareboat company are available in the area you'll be sailing. Use the "refine search" feature to limit listings to the island, state or province that's appropriate.
If you know of any provisioning companies that are not listed, please let us know and we will add them.
