Every month we're giving away a great prize to one of our visitors. Each one is carefully selected to be of use to you during your bareboat charter! Congratulations to Jim Meyers of Gulf Breeze, FL, who is the winner of our November 2003 drawing for a pair of Sperry Topsider boat shoes. Jim also won our October 2000 drawing for an 300 watt inverter and is our second two-time winner, the other being Nat Howe of Jackson, NH.





Congratulations to Ann McMillain of Saint Pauls, NC, who is our October winner of a boxed set of navigation instruments from Weems & Plath. This handsome gift set will look great in someone's Christmas stocking over the holidays. Congratulations, Ann.






Congratulations to Kenneth Gum of Springfield TN, Who receives our September prize award of another Humminbird handheld VHF 2-way radio. Kenneth does most of his sailing on Tennessee lakes, with occasional trips to Florida ports. He looks forward to a catamaran charter in the BVI some time in the future.





Congratulations to John Roschella of Cooksville MD, Who is our August winner of a Humminbird handheld VHF 2-way radio. John and his family currently live near and sail on the Chesapeake Bay . John has used eBare several times in planning charters in the Virgin Islands, and he is looking forward to using his new VHF at home and on his next trip to the islands.




Congratulations to Don Peterson of Houston, TX, Who is our July winner of a Humminbird handheld VHF 2-way radio. Don and his family currently own a 44-foot Marine Trader trawler, moored in Kemah, TX. They recently returned from a group charter in the BVI, all of them using eBare as a resource in selecting their yachts. Don is looking forward to using his new VHF on his next trip to the islands.




Congratulations to Hazel Salazar of Blaine, WA, who has been named as the winner of our June drawing for a radio-controlled weather forecaster from West Marine. Hazel is a retired nurse who spends the summer months clamming, crabbing, shrimping or fishing. She also enjoys visiting internet sites dealing with fishing and boating.




Congratulations Ruth Bousquet of Winchester, VA who has been named as the winner of our May drawing for a West Marine sailing vest. She says that she will be giving it to her Marine son who is currently serving at Whidbey Island, WA. Flying and sailing are his two loves. (Picture shown of her son.)




Congratulations to David Marxen of Morris Plains NJ who won our April 2003 drawing for an offshore medical kit. David started sailing on a hobie 16 as a teenager in NC and currently crews on a Viper 830 out of Perth Amboy, NJ. David, his wife Terri and their 2 daughters aged 8 and 10 have enjoyed numerous bare boat experiences from the Caribbean to Georgian Bay. David still has a Hobie to quench the occasional "need for speed" and a ski boat to tow the girls around the lake.


Congratulations to Victoria Thomas of Manassas VA who won our March 2003 drawing for a cordless blender. She has friends in Norfolk with a sailboat and has sailed the BVI twice. Her photo was taken while approaching Cooper Island on her last bareboat charter. Vicky hopes to sail the Grenedines in the near future.




Congratulations to Dan Merriman of Sandy UT who is our official February prizewinner after the initial winner drawn failed to claim her prize in time. He wins $75 in cash. Dan races a J92 on the Great Salt Lake and plans to move with his wife, daughter and boat to Florida in four years after retirement and do some cruising in the Caribbean. Congratulations, Dan!



Congratulations to Jeremy Roberts of New York City who won our January 2003 drawing for a pair of Nikon binoculars. So far, all we know is that he's received his prize.






Congratulations to Joe Chriest of Conneaut Lake, PA who won our December 2002 drawing for Whichard Rigging Knife. Joe's been sailing on Lake Erie on and off for 30+ years, currently sailing and currently keeps an O'Day 25 in Erie, PA. He hopes to charter in the Caribbean sometime soon with his wife Tracey and their blended family (but not soon enough, says Joe!)



Congratulations to Nat Howe of Jackson, NH who won our November 2002 drawing for Weems & Plath weather station! Nat and his wife and daughter sail their 1978 Islander out of Boothbay Harbor during the summer, and have chartered in the BVI. Nat also won a pair of waterproof binoculars in our November 2001 drawing!




Congratulations to Sam Leming of Indianapolis IN who won our October 2002 drawing for a relief band motion sickness device. He's Looking forward to testing it on his first bareboat sail in the BVI this coming February. .




Congratulations to John Killian of Houston TX who won a pair of Nikon 7x50 binoculars in our August 2002 drawing. We hope that he enjoys them on his next bareboat charter!

Congratulations to Amy Terry of East Patchogue NY who won a cordless blender in our June 2002 drawing, after the first person drawn failed to claim her prize. Amy hails from Long Island and enjoys sailing on Great South Bay and chartering boats in the BVI.





Congratulations to Mike Zines of Carlsbad CA who won a waterproof VHF marine radio in our May drawing, after the first person drawn failed to claim his prize. Mike and his family will be sailing their first charter in the BVI this July. Mike grew up racing Hobies and windsurfs and races a Beneteau 35.5 in San Diego.




Congratulations to Karen Cameron of McHenry IL who won deck shoes of her choice. She chose a pair of the new Harken X-wave sneakers and we hope that she enjoys them. Karen grew up sailing C-scows and competed with her husband in regattas throughout the midwest. She does more spectating these days since her young daughter Corin came along, but hopes to start her sailing soon.



Congratulations to Theodore Bilecky of Long Island City NY who won our March drawing for a cordless blender. Teedo is a singer/songwriter who grew up sailing small cats his father built/restored in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, which he hopes to return to some day. He hopes to bareboat in the Virgins soon with his band members and friends. The blender should be kept busy!



Congratulations to Carol Conway of Philadelphia PA who won our February drawing for Garmin eTrex GPS. Carol and her boyfriend plan to put it to good use in locating their favorite fishing spots this spring.






Congratulations to Tim Haygood of Boulder CO who won our January drawing for a wet and dry duffle bag by Henri Lloyd. Tim says Boulder is a poor choice of homeport for a sailor wannabe. He'll use his duffle bag to carry his sailing paraphernalia on those long flights from Colorado to Florida and the Caribbean where he charters with his wife Gail. .




Congratulations to Tom Crittenden of Rutlant VT who won our December drawing for a wet and dry duffle bag by Henri Lloyd. Tom and his wife Babette sail "Escape" (a Hunter 290) on Lake Champlain and have chartered in Florida and Antigua. Future plans include additional charters and at some point either a sabbitacal or early-retirement to cruise the islands.



Congratulations to Nat Howe of Jackson, NH who won our November drawing for a pair of waterproof 7x50 TASCO binoculars with a MSR of $289.45! Nat and his wife and daughter sail their 1978 Islander out of Boothbay Harbor during the summer, and have chartered in the BVI. We're sure he'll love this great prize.




Congratulations to Eileen Bussinger of Enola, PA the winner of our October drawing for a sailing knife that you can open with one hand. Eileen and her husband are sailors on Chesapeake Bay during the summer. Her photo to the right was taken at Norman Island while chartering in the BVI last year.




Congratulations to Nigel Newing of Barry's Bay, ON, Canada who won our September 2001 drawing for a 2 million candelpower hand-held spotlight which came complete with both a 12 volt and a 110 volt adaptor-charger. Nigel has chartered both cats and monohulls in the BVI and sails a 25 ft Hughes locally at Barry's Bay.




Congratulations to Peter Perkins of Richmond Hill, ON, Canada who won our August 2001 drawing for a 300-piece toolkit with carrying case. We hope that he finds it useful both afloat and ashore.






Congratulations to Sandi Schroeder of Latham NY who won our July 2001 drawing for a Weems & Plath Weather Station. Sandy and her husband Donn just bought and started racing a Kestral dinghy, and are signed up for an ASA multihull bareboat certification course in November after which they hope to return to the Abacos, where this picture was taken.



Congratulations to Larry Lux of Wildwood MO who is the winner of our June 2001 drawing for two pairs of Sperry Topsider leather boat shoes. Larry is going to complete his ASA bareboat certification this summer and plans to charter for the first time this coming December. Hope you and your son enjoy the deck shoes, Larry.

Congratulations to Roy Canon of Tequesta, FL who won our April 2001 drawing for the Posey Yacht Design Sailing Simulators for his PC. Roy is an RYA Sailing Instructor and chose the Sailing Dynamics and Coastal Cruising programs, to help him train his crewmembers and get them up to speed quickly.



Congratulations to Patty Bryant of Argyle, NY who won our March 2001 drawing for the brass Titanic Lamp reproduction. Patty said she'd never won anything before. Hey, Patty...maybe your luck is changing! Hope you like the lamp and find a nice spot for it.

Congratulations to Robert Fritz of Fleetwood, PA who won the January 2001 drawing for the Pelican BriteLite, watertight to 500 feet! (Suggested Retail $72.25). As Bob is a certified scuba diver, this light will be particularly useful to him and he plans to keep it aboard his boat in the Chesapeake.
