Budgeting For Your Trip

Many people tend to underestimate the total cost of their bareboat vacation trip. The charter cost is just part of the package. To this you must to add airfare, sleep aboard or hotel expense, provisioning including beverages, damage insurance and BVI taxes. We've taken a Moorings 445 from Footloose and shown the total cost for six people coming from New York as an example of these costs, both in high and low seasons. As you can see, the yacht (in blue) is but a small percentage of the whole.
