The Seychelle Islands
The Seychelle Islands are the premier sailing destination in the Indian Ocean. The population is English-Speaking and prosperous. Everyone is very conscious of the environment and committed to doing their best to protect the natural beauty of their islands - a refreshing change from some other charter destinations.
This is a popular vacation spot for Europeans, but if you're planning a trip from North America it's a long haul and you should probably plan on spending 10 days or longer sailing the area. In addition, consider breaking up your trip on the way over or on the way back with a stopover in a European city, or perhaps taking in a short safari in Africa.
